Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Mrs. E. Reed Long, 78, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday (March 14, 1972) at the Americana Nursing Home in Lafayette. She had been ill several months. Born March 19, 1893, near Veedersburg, she was the daughter of Henry E. and Jane Minor Dearing. She was married Oct. 21, 1920, to Daniel V. Janeway, who died Feb 13, 1951. She was married March 27, 1954, to Paul Long, who died Feb. 28, 1964. Mrs. Long was a member of the Christian Church, Circle 3 Christian Women's Fellowship, Keystone Bible Class and Cain Township Farm Bureau. Survivors include five step-children, Arthur D. Janeway of Crawfordsville, Roy S. Janeway of Veedersburg, Harold E. Long of Crawfordsville, Fred L. Long of Waynetown and Mrs. Richard (Evelyn) Hall of Veedersburg Route 4; a sister, Mrs. Elzada Patengale of Warsaw; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters. Services were Thursday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery. - jlr
